Privacy Policy

This policy applies to saunacloud.com and the related services SaunaCloud LLC operates from Diamond Springs, California — including quote and consultation forms, customer communications, and order fulfillment. It is written to match how the site actually works, not as generic legal filler.

Information we collect

We collect information you give us, information collected automatically when you use the site, and limited information from advertising and analytics partners.

• Contact and project details — name, email, phone number, and the information you enter on a form. Design and quote forms may also include a project name, project type, room dimensions, model interest, and photos or notes about your space.
• Orders and accounts — shipping and billing address, order history, warranty details, and customer-portal account information if you become a customer.
• Payment details — collected at purchase through encrypted, PCI-compliant payment processors. SaunaCloud does not store your full credit card number.
• Technical and usage data — IP address, browser, device, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and time on site. This comes from server logs, cookies, and analytics tools.
• Marketing attribution — campaign tags such as UTM parameters and click IDs (including Google gclid,gbraid, and wbraid) when you arrive from an ad or email. These may be stored with a lead so we know which campaign brought you to us.

How we use it

We use personal information to:

• Respond to quote requests, design inquiries, and booked calls
• Prepare custom designs, proposals, invoices, and orders
• Process payments and arrange freight delivery
• Provide warranty, service, and customer-portal support
• Send transactional email (confirmations, quotes, shipping updates)
• Send product or educational email if you asked to hear from us
• Understand how the site is used and improve it
• Measure advertising and, where allowed, show relevant ads
• Detect abuse and protect our customers, staff, and business

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies in three groups:

• Essential — required for the site to work, such as remembering your country setting and cookie choices.
• Analytics — Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity, which help us see how people use the site. Clarity may record session activity such as clicks and scrolling.
• Marketing — Google Ads, the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, and Microsoft Advertising (Bing UET), used to measure campaigns and, where permitted, show ads to people who visited our site.

Visitors in Canada see a cookie banner and can accept, decline, or customize analytics and marketing cookies. You can change those choices later from this page or Cookie Settings in the footer. Turning off marketing cookies is also how you tell us not to share your information for cross-context advertising.

Some browsers send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. We treat that as a request to keep marketing cookies off until you choose otherwise in Cookie Settings.

When we share information

We do not sell your name, email, phone number, or mailing list to other companies. We do share limited information with service providers who help us run the business, and with advertising platforms when marketing cookies are allowed.

Those providers may only use the information to perform services for us, except where an advertising platform uses data under its own terms to measure or deliver ads. We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect SaunaCloud, our customers, or the public.

How we protect it

Data sent between your browser and our website is encrypted with HTTPS (TLS). Access to personal data is limited to authorized staff, and we review our collection and storage practices. No internet transmission is completely secure, but we take commercially reasonable steps to protect your information.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the reason we collected it — including completing a sale, providing warranty and service, measuring marketing, and meeting legal, tax, or accounting requirements. When we no longer need it, we delete or de-identify it.

Your choices

• Cookies. Use Manage cookie preferences on this page or Cookie Settings in the footer.
• Email. Use the unsubscribe link in marketing emails, or email us and ask to be removed.
• Access, correction, or deletion. Email hello@saunacloud.com and tell us what you need. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling the request.

California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request access to or deletion of that information; to correct inaccurate information; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.

In the last 12 months we have collected the categories described above: identifiers (such as name, email, phone, and IP address); commercial information (quotes and orders); internet and network activity; and geolocation inferred from IP address. We collect it from you, from your device, and from advertising platforms. We use it for the purposes listed in this policy.

We do not sell personal information for money. When marketing cookies are on, advertising pixels may share identifiers and usage data with Google, Meta, and Microsoft for cross-context behavioral advertising. That can be “sharing” under California law. Opt out with Manage cookie preferences, Cookie Settings in the footer, or a GPC signal. To exercise other California rights, email hello@saunacloud.com.

Canada privacy rights

If you are in Canada, we handle personal information in line with PIPEDA and applicable provincial law. We collect and use it for the purposes in this policy, and we ask for consent where required — including analytics and marketing cookies, which are off until you accept them. You may withdraw consent, and request access to or correction of your information, by emailing hello@saunacloud.com.

Children

Our site and products are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page when our practices or the law change. The “Last updated” date at the bottom is the current version. Continued use of the site after an update means you should review the new terms.
